Welcome to the event website! This will be used for rules, information, and announcements about the server itself as the event progresses.
This event is a two week long Minecraft event/social experiment, designed to encourage collaboration, player encounters, and the occasional mischief. There are no teleports, no land claims, and no access to the end dimension. Theft is possible, but visible. PvP exists to annoy others, not to wipe their progression. Play socially, take risks, and leave a mark.
Server IP: event.xmo.dev
Event Dates: February 1 - February 15, 2026
Java Edition 1.21.11 (older versions supported, use this for the best experience)
Important Features/Restrictions: No teleporting, land claims, or end access. Keep inventory is enabled. All players have PvP immunity for their first hour of playtime. Mob spawners are unbreakable, the player locator bar is enabled, the worldborder is small, grief prevention is social, and proximity chat is used.
Please install the Simple Voice Chat mod for proximity voice chat. Even if you do not wish to speak, you'll need it to hear others in game.
Note: The size listed below is the diameter, not radius. World border will expand at about 12 PM Pacific Time.
2/1 (Launch Day): Overworld 400, Nether 50
2/4: Overworld 800, Nether 100
2/6: Overworld 1200, Nether 150
2/8: Overworld 1600, Nether 200
2/10: Overworld 2000, Nether 250
2/12: Overworld 2400, Nether 300
Given the small worldborder and social nature of this event, there are no grief prevention or land claim plugins. However, CoreProtect has been added to the server and some commands are accessible to everyone, so you can see who destroyed your base, stole your items, etc. Large scale griefing is still prohibited, more on this in the rules, but small theft, mischief, and retaliation are part of the experience.
Three different players on the server will be given a prize based on the following categories. Each winner will receive 1 Month of Discord Nitro, or any other item from the Discord shop at equal or lesser value, as well as the Event Winner role in the Sound's World Discord server, if applicable. The winner of each category will be chosen at the sole discretion of Xmo. Prizes may be increased and new categories may be added at Xmo's discretion.
Awarded to the player whos builds or infrastructure most improved day-to-day life on the server. This includes roads, shared utilities, travel routes, farms, or anything else that other players regularly relied on.
Awarded to the player who most strengthened the social fabric of the server by coordinating groups, fostering cooperation, or acting as a bridge between players and groups.
Awarded to the player responsible for the most memorable single event, decision, or sequence during the server. This could be a risky play or theft, dramatic confrontation, or turning point that shaped the event.
This section will be updated throughout the event as questions are asked.
